NEW ILLINOIS STATE LAW REGARDING ELECTRONICS IN LANDFILLS

Beginning January 1, 2012 certain electronics will no longer be allowed in Illinois landfills.  Below is a list of some of the items.

The Village of Germantown E-Waste includes the following:
televisions, monitors, printers, computers, electronic keyboards, fax machines, videocassette players, DVD players, video game consoles, small scale servers, electronic mice, digital converter boxes, cable receivers, satellite receivers, DVR's.

The Village of Germantown offers to its INCORPORATED residents a drop-off location at the Village Hall behind the fence near the large dumpster.  The area is marked and open during regular office hours.  Please unload large items carefully as not to break them.  Thanks!!
