NEW ILLINOIS STATE LAW REGARDING ELECTRONICS IN LANDFILLS

Beginning January 1, 2012 certain electronics will no longer be allowed in Illinois landfills.  Below is a list of some of the items.

The Village of Germantown is working to find a solution for our customers.  More info to come soon!

E-Waste includes the following:
televisions, monitors, printers, computers, electronic keyboards, fax machines, videocassette players, DVD players, video game consoles, small scale servers, electronic mice, digital converter boxes, cable receivers, satellite receivers, DVR's.

NEW TELEPHONE
BROADCASTING SYTEM

The Village recently implemented a new telephone broadcast system by Groupcast.   For budget reasons, the Village is allowing 1 phone number per household.  Please email me at dawn(at)germantownil(dot)net to be added to our calling list.

The Village of Germantown reminds its residents of your responsibility as pet owners.  All animals must be contained or on a leash at all times.  Please be respectful of your neighbors, when walking your animal, pick up and dispose of their waste!
